Summary
The programme is a collaboration between the University of Bedfordshire and 7Safe Ltd, a Computrain Partner. Therefore, the programme has both professional and academic aspects. You will gain both professional qualifications (provided by 7 Safe Ltd. of Cambridge) and an academic qualification.
How to earn your MSc
You will complete seven training courses by 7Safe at Computrain and relevant associated examinations, and one written University of Bedfordshire assignment per course, the subject of which is based on the content of the course. You will also be required to complete a University of Bedfordshire Independent Study Module and a larger MSc ‘project’ (dissertation) for a total of 180 credits.
Phase 1: Postgraduate Certificate
60 Master's Credits
Upon acceptance into the programme, you will complete four training courses by 7Safe at Computrain and relevant associated examinations, and one written University of Bedfordshire assignment per course for a total of 60 credits.
Phase 2: Postgraduate Diploma
60 Master's Credits
A further three training courses by 7Safe at Computrain and relevant associated examinations, and one written University of Bedfordshire assignment per course plus a University of Bedfordshire Independent Study Module.
The students receives another 60 Master’s credits (now totaling 120) and the Postgraduate Diploma.
Phase 3: MSc in Computer Security and Forensics

In this last phase, the student will present a dissertation. Upon successful completion, the student is awarded the final 60 Master’s credits (now totaling 180) and achieves the MSc in Computer Security and Forensics.
Course Length
The University of Bedfordshire expects students to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Computer Security in a maximum of six years. You can attend the four training courses at Computrain Technical Institute. The programme is suitable for full-time students but also for part- time working professionals since you only need to attend seven courses for only 28 training days in total!

In addition all courses count as credit towards meeting the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements to maintain the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
